Tea cups and mugs are the vessels you drink from, and the right one shapes how enjoyable and comfortable each cup feels. Home tea drinkers benefit from choosing based on how they brew: a mug for casual daily tea, a cup and saucer for a more refined moment, or a wider bowl for aroma. Look for materials that hold heat well and feel pleasant to the lips, such as porcelain, stoneware or glass. A comfortable handle that stays cool, a capacity that matches your usual pour, and a smooth rim all matter. Consider whether it is microwave and dishwasher safe, and pick a wall thickness that balances heat retention with a graceful feel.
